West says this will be the third concert in a series that features small ensembles and individual performers.

This week the series will present Justin Havard, a classical pianist who moved to Monroe about a year ago with a passion for music.

Havard will present his musical background by performing multiple genres he grew up with. That includes southern baptist, Disney broadway and more.

The MSO invites everyone to come out Thursday, January 16, at 7 p.m. to see Justin perform.

The concert will be at Northminster Chruch at 2701 Lamy Lane in Monroe.

Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for children.

Future concerts will feature a string quartet from players within the orchestra and a percussion concert.

In March, the Pop concert will begin at the Civic Center in downtown Monroe. It will feature the sounds of Broadway.
