GONZALEZ, La. (KNOE) - The Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal has arrested a man in Gonzalez after deputies say he set a building on fire with eight people inside.
Fifty-nine-year-old Rodney Dunn was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail on Wednesday on one count of aggravated arson.
On Tuesday night, LAOSFM deputies were contacted by the Gonzales Fire Department to assist with determining the origin and cause of a fire at a two-story commercial building in Gonzalez.
Surveillance video shows Dunn, the property manager, setting the fire.
Deputies say when confronted with the video, Dunn said he started it because he was “having a bad day.”
