UNION PARISH, La. (Louisiana State Police) - Louisiana State Police is investigating a fatal crash that took place Friday night on LA Highway 15.

LSP says it happened around 9:30 p.m., when they were called to a two-vehicle fatal crash on LA Hwy 15 just north of Farmerville.

Their preliminary investigation revealed a 2018 Toyota Camry, driven by 61-year-old Anthony Mauro Jr. of Farmerville, was traveling southbound on LA Hwy 15.

Mauro, who LSP says was not wearing his seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Union Parish Coroner’s Office. McKinnie and his passenger, who were both wearing their seatbelts, were taken to a local hospital for injuries.
