Man found dead in Ouachita River identified

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Monroe police have identified the man found dead in the Ouachita River on Saturday.

He has been idenitified as Qua’Darrius De’Marico Moore.

Moore's body was found floating near the 400 block of South Grand Street on the afternoon of September 7, according to a police spokesperson.

Moore is identified as a black male. According to a family member, Moore was 25 years old.

Police say the classification of Moore's death is still pending. His body has been sent for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

The investigation into his death is ongoing.

The 400 block of South Grand Street is near the Ouachita Parish Courthouse and is just blocks away from both the Endom Bridge and Interstate 20.
