Man has seizure, falls off bridge onto I-20 in West Monroe

In West Monroe, traffic came to a standstill on Thursday morning after an incident on Interstate 20.

It happened around 9:00 a.m. where Interstate 20 meets Thomas Road.

Police say a man was walking over the Thomas Road overpass when he had a seizure.

He fell off of the bridge onto grass in the median of I-20.

Traffic was stalled for a short time while first responders worked the scene.

The man was taken to Glenwood Regional Medical Center for his injuries.

He was not identified.
