A time marked in history for the Krystal Castle.
It's the moment her daughter's new heart gave its first beat.
"We are grateful and truly blessed," said Castle as she looked at her 17-month-old with awe and love.
Baby Journee was only five months old when she underwent heart transplant surgery.
"The doctors had gave up on my grandchild. They couldn't help her," said Sheila Mitchell. "But God sees that she's here."
A year later, Journee is a daddy's girl with a big personality.
"Funny, goofy, bossy," Castle described her daughter.
Castle says she's already gotten a glimpse of the type of woman Journee will become.
"She's gonna be a very, very outspoken person. She can't talk because of the [tracheostomy]. But she'll let you know what she wants and when she wants it."
Mitchell said she also has a good idea of who her granddaughter will amount to be.
"She'll be a woman of God," said Mitchell. "When [people] see her and they see what God brought her, they can push through whatever matter they're going through that day.
Castle runs the Facebook page "On a journey with Journee: Our heat warrior". It's where she posts regular updates on Journee's life.
