Lawmakers are making progress to pass a bill where it would make it illegal to use a cellphone while driving.

The Louisiana State House of Representatives approved a bill banning people from using their phones while behind the wheel.

Now, the bill will move into the state senate.

A similar bill died in the state senate in 2018.
