One in five Louisianans are diagnosed with some form of mental illness each year and one in three Americans are diagnosed nationwide.
However, one local agency in Bastrop called "Healthy Minds" is tackling this issue with an event called "Full Circle."
Organizers say it's designed to treat the whole person and not just their mental health issues.
"Full Circle is an initiative sponsored by 'Healthy Minds' and it's focusing on bringing private and public sectors together to make our community aware of the services that are being offered."
"Full Circle" is taking place at Bastrop High School Gym on Saturday, December 2nd from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There's no cost to attend.
You can preregister at FullCircleLa.org or call 318-239-3890 for more information.
