UPDATE: 2 arrested after teen killed in Calhoun area shooting

Update: 5:38 p.m. - OPSO says two arrests have been made in connection with Kiara Elee's death.
Christopher D. Florez, age 18 of Calhoun, has been charged with one count of 2nd Degree Murder and one count of Felony Obstruction of Justice.
Gavin Bernard Karty, age 18 of Calhoun, has been charged with one count of Obstruction of Justice.
Investigators say Elee was killed by Florez during an argument.

Update: The sheriff's office says the victim has been identified as Kiara Elee, age 19 of Eros, Louisiana.

Law enforcement officers are investigating a shooting in the Calhoun area that's left one person dead.
The shooting was reported shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday morning. The shooting happened at a trailer park in the 200 block of Brownlee Road.
The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office says they have not determined who the shooter is at this time, but say that they have accounted for everyone who is supposed to be there and are interviewing witnesses.
They say there is no threat to the community. Authorities are continuing to investigate.
This is the second shooting the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office has worked since Monday. The previous shooting happened before 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 25. OPSO said the shooting happened at a home in the 200 block of Curve Drive just past the Lakeshore area. In that shooting, one victim was shot and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
As of Wednesday, OPSO says there are no new developments in that shooting and no arrests have been made. They say they are still investigating the circumstances surrounding that shooting. There is no indication that the shootings are related.
