The death of a woman found on a Monroe university campus has been ruled a suicide.

The official cause of death was released by the University of Louisiana Monroe Wednesday afternoon.

The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Kristin Marie Juneau, no address, of Monroe. She was discovered on Monday morning near the dock at Bayou Park, which is across the street from the University Library. There is no record of her ever being enrolled at the university, according to ULM.

“The unexpected loss of a life is a tragedy and ULM offers its condolences to the family,” President Nick J. Bruno said in a released statement. “Although she was not a student, she was a fellow human being and our sympathies are heartfelt.”
