MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Today is certainly going to be on the hot side, as high temperatures are expected to approach the mid 90's but it is going to feel like almost 100 degrees. We may see possible stray showers late this afternoon and into the evening hours and can expect a similar story for your Tuesday. We are currently monitoring an area of disturbed weather down in the Bay of Campeche. This is Invest 91-L and it carries the potential of turning into Tropical Storm Barry. The good news is that it is not expected to get very strong as it is going to be hugging the coastline over the next couple of days but it is expected to bring us our next heavy rainfall chance for later this week. We will have a much firmer grasp on how much rain once this system develops a more defined center of circulation. As of now, models are indicating possible 1-3 inches of rain for Thursday/Friday.
