Grambling State University celebrated Constitution Day with convocation

GRAMBLING, La. (KNOE) - Grambling State University celebrated Constitution Day on Tuesday. National news commentator Sophia Nelson was the keynote speaker for the event.

She talked about the history of the Constitution and its impact on the country. She also encouraged students to dream and become informed voters.

"It's important for me to be able to come to a historically black college like Grambling to be able to talk candidly about not just the greatness of America and the goodness of America, and the expanding greatness of the Constitution,” Nelson says.

She says she hopes she inspired the students to get involved in politics too.
