MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Governor John Bel Edwards is expected to be in Monroe on Nov. 6, according to the Edwards' campaign.

The campaign says Edwards will be at Charles Johnson Children’s Park at 10:30 a.m. He is expected to address President Donald Trump's visit to Monroe and thank volunteers for supporting his campaign.

The park is located at 3313 Bernstein Park Drive next to the Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo.

The campaign also criticized Rispone saying he is "relying on Washington, D.C. in this election and refusing to detail his plans for Louisiana. Gov. Edwards is putting Louisiana first, trusting the people of Louisiana and his record of working hard to improve education, fix our budget, and create jobs."

Election day is Nov. 16.
