Former Monroe chief fire investigator found dead after medical emergency

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - A former Monroe Fire Department investigator has died.

The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office says they are investigating the death of David Hill, of Monroe. The sheriff's office says they responded to a medical emergency call at a home in the 200 block of Somerset Drive in Monroe at approximately 7:33 a.m.

There, they found a man deceased. The deceased was identified as Hill.

No foul play is suspected. OPSO is still investigating the matter and has released no further details.

The Monroe Fire Department offered the following condolences on their Facebook page:

"We are saddened this morning to learn about the passing of retired Chief Fire Investigator David Hill. We ask that you please keep the Hill Family in your prayers. We will announce service arrangements once they are complete."
