UNION PARISH, La. -- (KNOE 8 News) David Rayshon Jackson, 37, was arrested on Tuesday afternoon by Farmerville Police officers outside the Union Parish Court House.

Jackson was observed by an off-duty police officer who contacted on-duty officers. He was arrested without incident where he was booked on outstanding warrants for simple battery, aggravated assault (domestic), domestic abuse battery with child endangerment, home invasion and possession of a firearm by convicted felon.

This stemmed from a late 2016 incident inside Farmerville city limits where Jackson forced his way into a home armed with a handgun and battered a female resident and infant child.

He has an extensive criminal history including arrests earlier in 2016 for aggravated flight from officers, aggravated assault on police officers and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.

Jackson was booked into UPDC without bond.
