Farmerville PD investigating large number of vehicle burglaries


FARMERVILLE, La. (KNOE) - The Farmerville Police Department says they are looking for information on a large number of vehicle burglaries.

They say the burglaries have happened inside the city limits in the last 10 weeks.

Police say that the suspects are smashing car windows and stealing purses, wallets, firearms, and more. They say suspects have also burglarized unlocked vehicles.

They believe the suspects are on foot and say all the burglaries happen during the night.

They say the burglaries have happened throughout the city on streets such as Betty, Truman, Lafayette, Ruston, East and West Jackson and several others.

Anyone with info is asked to call the Farmerville Police Department or Crime Stoppers of Union Parish at 368-9679.

The caption on the video says, "Crime Stoppers of Union Parish is currently seeking information on numerous vehicle burglaries that have been committed in the last three weeks in the Farmerville area. Several video images have been taken and it appears the suspect is a slender white male, wearing glasses, age 16-22 and always wearing a hoodie. Suspect vehicle is believed to be a 2003-2006 Chevrolet or GMC extended cab truck, tan or light colored. In the last three weeks, the areas being targeted have been Olin Hills Road, Edgewood Subdivision, Dozier Creek Subdivision, and Corney Creek Drive.
