Ruston Police responded at 2:20 am in the area of 803 McAllister Street. Williams died from his injuries.

Family members say at just 22-years-old his life was cut short, and now they’re asking he be remembered in a positive light, rather than his death.

“He was really like a loving kid he had a big dream of doing music and finally making it out of this area so he could provide for his family,” said his cousin Kyiana Allen.

Family members say that Williams was stopping by the neighborhood snack shop “Flip’s” to order a late-night snack. They say he was a kind person with his whole life ahead of him.

“I mean he didn’t deserve this he was a quiet young man he didn’t deserve this,” said his cousin Melissia Allen.

As for the shop owner Vickie Bradley, she says that in her 20 plus years of business, violence like this has never happened near her shop.

“I know both sides of the family and it hurts me that this happened and it does hurt too that it happened on my property,” Bradley said.

Bradley says that because of this they will be closed temporarily, and when they re-open the will no longer stay open late.

With the family grieving and still trying to process, they are demanding justice for Quae and for people to speak out if they saw anything.

“We want justice, prosecute it to the fullest,” Allen said.
