Facts about Medicare with Financial Planner Kelly Brantley

Medicare is health insurance for people age 65 and older, or if you're under the age of 65 and on disability, you can also qualify.
You can enroll in Medicare up to 7 months before your 65th birthday. If you do not enroll by 65, you will be charged a penalty.
If you're not drawing social security before the age of 65, then you will not automatically be enrolled.
There are four parts of Medicare:
- Part A: Hospital Insurance
- Part B: Medical Insurance
- Part C: Part A, B & D combined
-Part D: Prescription Coverage
You can make changes to your medicare during open enrollment from Oct. 15th through Dec. 7th.
