OUACHITA PARISH, La. (KNOE 8 News) - On Saturday, a spokesman for Entergy told KNOE that crews are working to restore power to most of Northeast Louisiana by Saturday night. But, some rural areas could have to wait until Sunday to see lights in the homes.
Entergy says around 1,600 people are still without power in Northeast Louisiana.
Their advice to folks was to avoid downed power lines until they are fixed, and to report downed lines to Entergy to help with the recovery process.
"A downed power line can be deadly, even if the power is on or the power is out," spokesman Roderick Worthy said. "So, keep your distance if you see a downed power line. Number two, make sure you report it to the power company. Even though it may take a little while, we are going to get to everyone and we will restore all the power."
