CATAHOULA PARISH, La. (KNOE) - Authorities in Catahoula Parish say three people have been arrested in Jonesville following an investigation into allegations of rape and drug use involving children.
According to Jonesville Police, officers were asked to look into the welfare of three children at a trailer park in town. With the help of the Catahoula Parish Sheriff's Office, authorities determined the children were not safe and removed them from the home.
Investigators say this led to the arrest of 27-year-old Joshua Lynn Wright on October 14th. He was booked on six counts of first-degree rape and 13 counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
After conducting more interviews with witnesses, authorities arrested the parents of the children as well. They are identified as 35-year-old Casey Garrington and 33-year-old Brandy Accardo. Both parents have been charged with three counts of improper supervision of a minor, three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and three counts of illegal use and possession of CDS in the presence of minors.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and more charges could be filed.
The ages of the children involved were not disclosed.
