Can you help solve this 2017 murder in Monroe?

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Monroe police are asking for your help to solve a 2017 murder case.

Police say 24-year-old Gary Gardner was shot and killed on September 10, 2017.

Gardner was ambushed by four gunmen at the Oak Manor Apartments on Peach St., according to police. Gardner was airlifted to a hospital in Shreveport where he died from injuries.

Police say only one suspect in the shooting was ever identified: Robert “Mookie” Shelton III.

A warrant for second-degree murder was issued for Shelton's arrest, but he has thus far been able to evade capture.

If you know where to find Shelton, you can help police close this case.

Also, police are looking to identify the three other subjects who are believed to have participated in the murder of Gardner.
