MONROE, La (KNOE) - New year, new teachers, and new experiences for many students as they gear up for the fall school year. Unfortunately, this is also the time where many parents can not afford new school supplies for their kid(s).

Joining us in studio is community activist and business owner of BoneKrusher Fitness Sam Crawford, to talk about his school supply drive. He is teaming up with local businesses through northeast Louisiana to help students transition effectively back into the school year. Crawford says, " I have already started collecting supplies through donations, my own purchases and fundraising. My goal is to provide 1,000 youth in Monroe with a starter kit of school supplies."
If you would like to support this vision drop off school supplies, financial contributions, or networking resources to Bonekrusher Youth Mentoring Program at 3307 Renwick St.
