MONROE, La (News Release) - Update - Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 at 2pm:
The boil advisory for the Walnut Bayou Water System has been lifted.

Original Story:
A boil advisory has been issued for the Walnut Bayou Water System due to a loss in water pressure and some problems with the pumps.

This advisory included the Village of Delta, La.

This advisory is in effect until further notice.

It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods by the following means:

+ Boil water for (1) one full minute in a clean container. The one minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil.
