OUACHITA PARISH, La. (KNOE) - Authorities need your help to find an unknown driver responsible for a fatal hit and run in Ouachita Parish.
Louisiana State Police say it happened around midnight on US Hwy 165 at Langford Drive.
They say 41-year-old Stanquan Young, of Monroe, was crossing the northbound lanes of Hwy 165 when he was hit by a vehicle heading north. Young was thrown from his bike and the vehicle left the scene. Police say Young was wearing dark clothing and his bike was not equipped with lights as required by law. Young was later pronounced dead at St. Francis Medical Center.
Police believe the vehicle could be a Mazda with damage to the left front bumper and/or fog light area.

"No piece of information should be considered insignificant. Troopers will follow all leads in an effort to bring this case to closure and get answers for Young’s family and friends," Master Trooper Michael Reichardt says.
