Roseburg Forest Products Plant back up and running after fire incident

SIMSBORO, La. (KNOE) - Lincoln Parish Fire Chief Kevin Reynolds says operations at Roseburg Forest Products Plant in Simsboro are up and running after an incident at the plant Thursday night.

First responders were called out to the plant around 8:40 p.m. after a fire reportedly started in one of the silos.

Reynolds says the fire suppression system activated to put out the fire, making a loud noise. Reynolds says there was no explosion.

Reynolds says the system worked as it was supposed to and there was very little damage reported.

No injuries were reported and every worker was accounted for.
