UPDATE: Arrest made in Ouachita Parish armed robberies

OUACHITA PARISH, La. (KNOE) - Update: Authorities have arrested 25-year-old Jarqual Robertson in connection with three armed robberies in Ouachita Parish.

Investigators say Robertson is accused of an armed robbery at two Monroe / Ouachita Parish area stores: Dave's One Stop on LA 139 and Chevron U-Pak-It on Highway 165 South.

Robertson is also accused of a third armed robbery in which a customer was also held up during the hold up at one of the stores.

Robertson was booked on 3 counts of armed robbery.


Authorities in Ouachita Parish are investigating an armed robbery.

It happened at Dave’s One Stop on LA 139 at Hwy. 594 in Swartz around 10:18 AM.

Public Information Officer Glenn Springfield sent KNOE the following information in which he describes what allegedly happened during the armed robbery on Wednesday.

"At approximately 10:18 a.m. this morning, the suspect entered the business armed with an object appearing to be a handgun. The suspect took an undetermined amount of cash and left the store on foot headed toward LA 594. No one was injured in the incident. The suspect is described as a black male, light complexioned with a goatee. He is described as wearing a gray hoodie type pullover with “Hollister” written on the front and black pants. "
