POTTSVILLE, Ark. (KARK, CNN) - Pottsville Police say homeowners called claiming a man was offering to watch their kids.

All of those callers said he was going door to door on Pisgah and Redmond road stating he was going to start a babysitting business.

"He started asking about in-home daycare and that he was trying to start a business," explained Fredrick Potts.

Potts was in his yard Sunday when he was approached by the man.

When police picked up Dustin Siau and ran his information they found he was a registered level three sex offender.

"They knew something wasn't right. It seems like everyone that talked to him stated that they weren't sure and it just didn't fit right," explained Officer Scotty Manning with Pottsville Police.

Siau is currently booked at the Pope County Detention center on multiple charges which include violating the terms of being a registered sex offender.

The Pottsville Police Department asks anyone who had similar contact with Siau over the weekend to reach out.

This case is still under investigation.
