MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Authorities say a teen has been arrested after another attack on a Swanson Center for Youth employee in Monroe.

According to the Office of Juvenile Justice, 18-year-old D'Angelo Givens was part of a group of offenders who assaulted a juvenile justice specialist on Wednesday evening.

The arrest record states that another offender was seen on video walking toward a dorm bathroom at around 8:05 p.m. when Givens and two other teens allegedly attacked the employee, hitting him multiple times. Investigators say they noted injuries to the victim, including bruising under the left eye, and swelling to his upper lip.

This is the third incident leading to arrests at Swanson Center for Youth in less than 30 days. Earlier in March, Cinque Reddick was arrested for an alleged battery and, in February, Anta Johnson was accused of spraying bleach on an employee.

Swanson Center for Youth is a State of Louisiana Secure Care Facility for adjudicated youth offenders.

Givens is charged with battery of a correctional center employee.
