Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang had another viral moment on Friday when he hugged Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo on stage during a song.

The band performed for a special Yang event in Des Moines, Iowa. During the performance, Yang came on stage, hugged the musicians and lip-synced along with the music.

The Democratic hopeful, who touts himself as a humanity-first capitalist whose vision is "not left, not right, but forward,"

. About a dozen other Democratic candidates also attended the event.

Though Yang remains a fringe candidate, his support in Iowa has grown over the last month. It last polled at 3% at the end of October, up from 0% at the beginning of October.

Yang is still in the middle of a crowded pack when it comes to recent nationwide polling and he remains well below the top tier candidates.

Yang's support has been just strong enough to qualify for the next Democratic debate in November, polling at 5% in New Hampshire and upwards of 3% nationally. His appearance in the December debate, however, remains in question.

, Yang's support is strongest amongst voters 45 and younger, where he trails only Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and Pete Buttigieg. Joe Biden gets almost all of his support from people 46 and older. Biden leads in this age group.

Yang is one of several candidates who will be speaking at an NAACP event on Saturday.
