WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE) - A local radio station is helping to get Boley Elementary students and educators back on their feet. Media Ministries, Inc., which operates 88.7 The Cross and Power 927.FM, says they will match cash donations to help those affected by the Boley fire. They will match up to $17,500 in donations, which would lead a total donation of up to $35,000.
Boley Elementary in West Monroe burned to the ground after a fire on April 13, 2019.
On their website, Media Ministries, Inc. says:
"You can donate safely and easily – and within the next two weeks, we will provide the full amount, including our matching gift, to the Ouachita Parish School Board."
Three donation options are suggested:
- $100 to sponsor a student
- $500 to sponsor a teacher
- $2,500 to sponsor a classroom
You can also select a custom donation option.
"Consider providing $100 for a student’s school supplies. Or would you possibly be able to give $500, and help a teacher get the necessary items to finish the school year? Maybe even a larger gift of $2500, taking care of an entire classroom of children in need? This is an immediate need, so take action now, and make the most generous gift you can, knowing we’ll match it DOLLAR for DOLLAR," Media Ministries says.
