3 Louisiana artists score early Grammy wins

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Three Louisiana-based artists secured early Grammy wins Sunday (Feb. 10).

PJ Morton tied with Leon Bridges for best traditional R&B performance for his song “How Deep is your Love," which features Arkansas singer YEBBA.

Lafayette native Lauren Daigle won in two categories -- best contemporary Christian music album and best contemporary Christian music performance for “Look up Child” and “You Say," respectively.

Buddy Guy took home the award for best traditional blues album for “The Blues is Alive and Well.”

Sean Ardoin, John Batiste and Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah were also nominated for awards, but did not win.

Cha Wa and Terence Blanchard have both been nominated but their categories -- best regional roots album and best instrumental composition -- have not been announced.
