MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Louisiana State Police say two people from Texas were arrested after a traffic stop on Interstate 20 in the Monroe area. Investigators say thousands of ecstasy pills were found to be in their possession.

According to arrest records, the traffic stop happened just after midnight on December 6th near milepost 122. Police say they stopped a vehicle for improper lane usage. The arresting officer says that when he made contact with the driver, Broderick James Jack, the driver appeared very nervous and made little sense of his travel plans. The officer says that during questioning, he also saw Jack urinate on himself.

The passenger was identified as Crystal Bridges.

Police say a search of the vehicle revealed approximately 7,500 ecstasy pills in a Crown Apple box. Both suspects were arrested on drug charges.

Police also say that after Bridges was being removed from a police vehicle, they saw her stomping on two plastic bags of ecstasy pills inside the vehicle. Police say they searched her again and found marijuana on her. Bridges had obstruction and conspiracy added to her list of charges.

Both suspects were booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center.
