Jasmine Anderson anchors KNOE 8 News on the weekends and is KNOE's Investigative Reporter.
Living in Monroe is a dream come true for the Alabama native. Creating memorable experiences through exceptional journalism is a hallmark of her nearly decade-long career.
Jasmine developed a love for storytelling at an early age and remembers watching the news with her grandmother as a child. She began her career in Alabama, working in Florida and Georgia before calling Northeast Louisiana home. Her accolades include becoming the first digital manager at the ABC-affiliate in Pensacola, Florida. That station's website received a Florida Associated Press Broadcasters award as a finalist in website/digital while she was at the helm.
The home of America’s first Mardi Gras, Mobile, Alabama, is the place she calls home and it is also where she earned her B.A. in Communication at the University of South Alabama (Go Jags!). Jasmine loves giving back to the community via volunteer work and enjoys public speaking. She's also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Investigative Reporters & Editors (IRE) and the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ).
In her free time, she loves to travel, read and spend time with loved ones. Now that you're part of her circle, she's just a click or swipe away on Facebook, Twitter and email.
