Jacob has been a weather enthusiast ever since he was four years old. Growing up in a small town north of Kansas City, he got to see just about everything that mother nature could crank out (except for hurricanes, that is). His passion for weather was so great that Jacob’s teachers and classmates always insisted he would one day be a weatherman on TV. He never believed this, but some fifteen years later, he is now living his long-time childhood dream of being a meteorologist.
Jacob attended the University of Missouri and graduated with a degree in Atmospheric Science. He also minored in mathematics. He worked as a weekend weather forecaster at the local TV station in college, as well as a forecast shift leader in the Meteorology Department on campus. He was also involved in several on-campus student ministries.
Jacob is looking forward to serving the ArkLaMiss and tracking tropical weather, as well as trying out lots of local cuisine! In his spare time, he likes to write, watch movies and TV shows, go on hikes, and do DIY projects.
He hopes to be a great addition to the team and a servant to the community.
