Anna Jane Howell

Anna Jane Howell anchors KNOE Sports on the weekends and reports on sports during the week.

Anna Jane grew up just down I-20 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She moved to Monroe from Baton Rouge after graduating from LSU's Manship School.

Writing about her high school football team and their run to win a state championship in her senior year of high school started her career covering sports, and now she occasionally gets to cover them around Monroe.

Before working at KNOE, Anna Jane spent time working for LSU’s student media station, Tiger TV. With Tiger TV, she got to cover a top 5 football team, the number one recruiting class in college baseball, a Sweet 16 basketball team, some Saturday nights in Death Valley and much more. She also interned at our sister station in Baton Rouge, WAFB. There she got to participate in SEC and SWAC Media Days, Saints football and lots of LSU and high school football coverage.

Her favorite sports reporting memory is covering the Tigers’ men's basketball 2018-2019 regular season SEC championship run, and she is eager to immerse herself in ULM, Louisiana Tech, Grambling and other local teams in NELA.

You can find her cheering for her Tigers, Saints, Pelicans or Mavericks throughout the year; and she’s always willing to talk sports so don’t hesitate to reach out.

Apart from sports, Anna Jane is involved with her church and is excited to get to know the Northeast Louisiana community.
