Alexis Bellamy

Weekend Anchor/Producer
Monroe, La.

Alexis started her journey into broadcast journalism with anchoring the Old Dominion University’s student run television newscast ODU-TV News. She then earned a highly coveted internship with NBC affiliate WAVY 10 in Norfolk Virginia. Alexis graduated from Old Dominion University with a B.S. Degree in Communications. She started her career in Elmira New York as a weekend anchor/producer and weekday reporter.

Alexis moved to Monroe in March as the KAQY anchor/producer and now serves as the KNOE weekend anchor/producer and a weekday reporter.

When she isn’t anchoring or reporting, Alexis loves trying new restaurants, watching musicals, enjoying foreign films and her newest hobby, kickboxing.

Originally from Northern Virginia, Alexis is looking forward to learning all she can about the Sportsman’s Paradise state, enjoying her time in NELA and becoming a part of this wonderful community.

Alexis is a member of the National Association of Black Journalism.
