Inmate who escaped from Raymond Laborde Correctional Facility recaptured

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - An inmate who escaped from the Raymond Laborde Correctional Facility has been captured.

The Alexandria Police Department said that they were called to a local rehabilitation facility on Heyman Lane around 4:15 a.m. Tuesday morning (Sept. 19) in reference to an inmate escaping on foot. Jackie Brown, 21, was at the facility for health reasons and was not in APD’s custody.

After a search of the area and with help from other agencies, Brown was captured later in the morning.
