Son accused of shooting, killing father inside Rayville residence

RAYVILLE, La. (KNOE) - UPDATE: The Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in connection to the deadly shooting on Legacy Dr. in Rayville.

RPSO and Rayville Police Department arrived on the scene shortly after 3 p.m. and found Tony D. Griffin dead inside the residence.

Zachary Griffin, the son of Tony Griffin, had an argument with his father just before the shooting, according to RPSO. Zachary was arrested on one charge of second-degree murder and booked into the Richland Parish Detention Center without bond.

The Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspected homicide at 157 Legacy Dr., according to an investigator on scene.

Officials said there is one victim.
