Monroe City Council approves 45% pay raise for mayor

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Last night, the Monroe City Council finalized pay raises for the mayor and city council.

Starting next term, the mayor’s salary goes up 45% to $130,000 a year. For council members, their salary is going from $12,000 to $18,000 a year.
