New video released in disappearance of Tabitha Queen

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Bastrop Police released new surveillance video in the disappearance of Tabitha Queen.

The video shows a black male driving her vehicle before abandoning it on West Pine Street in Bastrop. The man then got out of the car before walking away headed eastbound.

Queen’s vehicle was eventually found at the location by police. The man who left it there has not yet been identified.

The video was released just days after a group of volunteer searchers found a gun concealed in trash bags behind Dotson Park. Police do not know if the gun is related to the Queen case.

Ricky Anderson organized the search and saw the video for the first time today.

“We know a little bit more. Since we know a little bit more, we need to act on it.”

Sclinton Stevenson saw the video and offered a $1,000 reward as a result.

“Sometimes you have to go at stuff a little different. I thought if we put up a reward, someone might come forward.”

Anderson is encouraging residents to watch the video.

“I want everyone to pay close attention to that video. Some of you have already downloaded it. Screen by screen. What does the individual have? What is he wearing? How does he walk?

Anderson is hoping the new video will lead to an arrest.

“Somebody knows who that is and Bastrop, Louisiana, we have to get him.”
