May 6 shooting in Monroe sends 2 to the hospital

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - The Monroe Police Department is investigating a shooting that sent two people to the hospital. Police say it happened on May 6, 2021, just before 7:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Standifer Avenue.

According to police, two people in a vehicle were injured. The shooting caused the driver to crash into a parked vehicle. Both victims were taken to area hospitals. Their injuries were described as not critical.
