Man shot while riding bike in Ruston, police investigating

RUSTON, La. (KNOE) - Authorities are investigating a shooting incident that left one man injured in Ruston. The incident happened on May 1, 2021.

According to the Ruston Police Department, at around 9:37 p.m., they responded to a call at Eastside Mini Mart in Ruston regarding a shooting. Officers say when they arrived, they located a 30-year-old man who had been shot.

RPD says he was taken to hospital in Shreveport for treatment and is listed in stable condition.

Investigators say the victim was riding his bicycle near Clinton Circle and was heading eastbound when a dark-colored vehicle pulled up beside him and an occupant began shooting toward him. They say as the vehicle sped off, the victim ran back toward the store and called for help.
