3 men arrested in Monroe on child sex trafficking charges
MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Authorities have arrested three men connected to sex crimes against a juvenile.
According to court documents, on April 6, 2021, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office found a juvenile that had previously been reported missing.
During their search for the juvenile, deputies say they received information that lead them to the first suspect, Alonzo Markel Taylor of Monroe. The sheriff’s office says Taylor admitted to having intercourse with the juvenile at his home.
Investigators say two other suspects, Demario Randle and Leroy Abraham, were also arrested for their involvement. OPSO says Randle admitted to taking the juvenile and Taylor to Abraham’s home in Monroe. They say Abraham told them Taylor brought the juvenile to his home to “pimp her out.”
The juvenile was located at Abraham’s residence. They say Abraham admitted to having intercourse with the juvenile in exchange for room and board.
Markel, Randle, and Abraham were booked at the Ouachita Correctional Center on charges of trafficking children for sex.
Taylor mugshot still pending.
