Monroe opening Liller Marbles Community Center as cold weather shelter

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - The city of Monroe has approved the use of the Liller Marbles Community Center as a cold weather shelter due to the incoming winter weather.
The center located at 2950 Renwick Street will open at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12. Cots and meals will be provided.
According to a press release, COVID-19 precautions will be adhered to. Masks must be worn, and will be provided to those who need one. Social distancing will also be enforced and PPE will be used.
Monroe Police will provide security.
The shelter will remain open 24 hours a day as long as the inclement weather remains.
