Fatal fire under investigation in Jackson Parish

JACKSON PARISH, La. (KNOE) - Authorities are investigating a fatal fire in Jackson Parish.
According to the state fire marshal’s office, they were called to the scene of a mobile home fire on Jan. 14, 2021, in Cartwright involving one death.
The Jackson Parish Ward 2 Fire Protection District responded to the 2200 block of Robinson Chapel Road just after 10 a.m.
Firefighters later located the body of a female occupant believed to be the 85-year-old homeowner.
