The Georgia Tucker Assisted Living Facility here in Monroe already have preparations underway.
Residents are still looking forward to dinner even though their family members can’t be there due to coronavirus regulations. However, they can still enjoy a catered meal together on Thanksgiving day and the facility will also allow thirty-minute outdoor visits with no more than two guests, weather permitting. One resident said the circumstances are sad, but unfortunately, it’s the way things are now.
“It’s sad to me that we can’t ya know.. we’ve been in here now quarantine for um a long time since march and will be staying here so nothing different really” said Julia Kelly, a resident a Georgia Tucker.
After the residents enjoy their Thanksgiving feast, they will get a pizza party and enjoy the Thanksgiving Day parades on tv in the community room.
