Antique Alley’s Open House welcomes hundreds of shoppers for extra business day
WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Thanks to Antique Alley’s “Open House”, both business owners and shoppers alike got to indulge in an extra day of spending and saving.
Businesses like Off the Hanger are usually closed on Sunday, but Sunday’s event gave owner Morgan Allen the chance to dish out some sales and meet new customers too.
“Gotten to reach more customers who usually we haven’t got to reach yet being open Monday through Saturday," Allen said.
Allen’s only been open for one month, and despite the uncertainty of the pandemic, she says business is booming and events like this one help draw in more clientele.
“Considering the pandemic that has been going on it’s actually I feel like I’ve had a good turnout considering,” Allen said.
Businesses like Downtown Nutrition also took advantage of the extra hours serving up protein shakes, teas, and smoothies.
“Business has been picking up. It seems like downtown is starting to boom," said owner Kevin Shepherd, Downtown Nutrition.
Shoppers also flocked to nearby stores cashing in on sales and finding items ahead of the Christmas holiday.
“I’m excited for the turnout I’m excited to help local businesses here in West Monroe and see it thriving as always," said shopper Molly Humphries.
While this was just a one-day event, Allen looks forward to continuing to serve her customers and making her mark in Antique Alley.
“Really looking forward to meeting more people. We do want to get involved as far as maybe a toy drive or something and really just help out in the community any way we can," Allen said.
