OUACHITA PARISH, La. (KNOE) - Authorities have arrested a man accused of attempted second-degree murder in Ouachita Parish. The incident happened in November of 2019.

According to court records, the West Monroe Police Department were called to the 200 block of Riverbend Drive in response to an armed robbery.

Records say the victim told police he was forced from his vehicle and held at gunpoint by two Black males who then robbed him. Records say the two suspects began shooting at the victim after he ran from them.

The two suspects then got into another vehicle and forced the driver to drive away from the scene. The driver of that vehicle identified the two suspects as 20-year-old Michael Ardetrist Goins and 19-year-old Glynntavis Bland.

She told police that Goins and Bland held her at gunpoint and forced her to drive away from the scene. Bland was arrested a little bit after the incident happened. Goins was arrested on Oct. 15, 2020, almost a year later.
