Man dies after crash on Interstate 20 in Madison Parish

MADISON PARISH, La. (KNOE) - Louisiana State Police say a man is dead after a crash on Interstate 20 in Madison Parish.

Authorities say they responded to the crash on Oct. 12, 2020, shortly after 8:00 p.m. The location was identified as milepost 182, which is near the Louisiana-Mississippi border.

Police say a pickup truck driven by 41-year-old Nathan Ribelin of Fort Worth, Texas, rear-ended an 18-wheeler stopped for traffic. The 18-wheeler rear-ended another pickup truck. Ribelin suffered fatal injuries in the crash.

The cause is still under investigation and a toxicology sample was obtained and submitted for analysis. Troop F says they have investigated 38 fatal crashes resulting in 40 deaths in 2020.
