MONROE, La. (KNOE) - The high school football season is scheduled to begin this week, but it will do so without the Ouachita Lions.

KNOE Sports Director Aaron Dietrich has learned that multiple players have been quarantined after a recent opponent tested positive for COVID-19.

Ouachita played Franklin Parish in a scrimmage last week and one Franklin Parish Patriot has since tested positive for the virus.

The quarantine means the Week One matchup between Neville and Ouachita scheduled for Oct. 2 won’t happen. Neville is now looking for another Week One opponent.
